The aim of SAFX is to produce high quality, cheap, simple pedals - no 20-knob wonders, no thousands of switches. Just simple, pure, effective tonal sculpting. We build both original designs and 'adaptations' of other designs.

 

 

 

The reasoning behind our simplicity ideals are simple- Imagine you have an Epi Valve Jr, a 5w Valve amp with a single knob. You play it, and think, "That could do with a full TMB tonestack." You get it modded to have a full TMB tonestack. You then discover masses of signal and therefore quality of tone and volume are lost through the pots, even with them all on full. We aim to keep tone pure, without interfering with it so much like seems to be the trend nowadays.
